WORLD’S MOST DANGEROUS SPIDER IN MY KITCHEN!!! Ann Reardon

It’s a yucky looking spider! Oh! I think that’s a …
What is it? I’m going to get a piece of paper
That just crawled under my feet! Eeaghh! It’s rearing up at me! Ok, how are we going to do this? I have no idea but I’m terrified. Good heavens! That is disgusting, what is it? Is it a trapdoor or what do they call is…? I’ve got to get the lid on first. Lid is on – spider is secured! One of the world’s deadliest spiders! These things if they bite you they can kill
you in 15 minutes, it’s a male funnel web spider. They don’t want you to kill these things because
… they don’t want you to kill these things because there’s a shortage of anti-venom. Ok where are we off to Matthew? We are going to the hospital so they can get
the venom out to create antivenom. What is this spider called? It’s a funnel web. The world’s deadliest spider. That’s right it’s a male funnel web which
crawled past my foot and people keep killing them, which I can totally understand, I think
if I’d known it was a funnel web I would have killed it. But now we’ve looked it up and they’re short
on funnel web venom to make antivenom so they said could we take it in to the hospital please
so that’s where we’re on our way. So here we are at the emergency department,
we are going to drop in the world’s deadliest spider so that we can save some lives. I’ve just dropped the spider off. The people from the reptile farm are going
to come and they’re going to look after it and milk it so that then they can create antivenom. She said that was a big one, I wonder if there’s
a family of them …

  1. My kitchen is normally such a happy, sweet place … not today!! The world's deadliest spider just crawled past my foot (eek!) And if you want more spidery stuff, here's an edible one ๐Ÿ™‚ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXwvW4vsPF0&t=474s

  2. i'd hate to live in Sydney. i live in LA but i deal with more (bad word) than that because i am in the LAPD and if i could tell you on a scale from 1-10 how much i deal with i would tell you 100.

  3. My bro killed a Sydney funnel web in his house that was scary for me because my niece was literally 3 feet away from it

  4. Sees that spider in my kitchen
Me: Dad, goodbye, Im moving oh and- THERE'S A FREAKING SPIDER IN THE KITCHEN
Runs with bags out the door

  5. I'm for Australia and I now about these spiders. they are the most scary thing in the world not to mention I'm so sacred of spiders that I run from baby ones. ๐Ÿ˜›

  6. Very brave, I know a lot of people who freak out when they see regular, non-dangerous spiders. Also I love how you dropped it off at the hospital to help make anti-venom!

  7. Although this is ONE of the most venomous, the Brazilian Wandering spider is the Most venomous in the world. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Can confirm I am an Aussie and we do get loads of spiders. Thankfully because of this I am fairly used to spiders and I am not afraid of Daddy Long Legs but Huntsman spiders and all venomous spiders (eg: Red Backs) still scare me

Also, fun (and scary) fact: Red Backs are very poison spiders in Australia and lots of people find them on their TOILET SEAT!!!

  9. SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    SPIDER!!!!!!!!!๐Ÿ•ท๐Ÿ•ท๐Ÿ•ธ๐Ÿ•ธ

    Me scarred 4 life.

  10. Nope itโ€™s the spiders house now hope it likes fire Iโ€™d be burning my correction itโ€™s house down

  11. Oh my god! Ann, u are so brave for actually going near that spider!! I live in Ireland and we don't have poisonous spiders, but I've been to Australia once and we found a spider in the pool!!! Our cousin went right up to it, but I stayed quite far away!! Our cousins live in Australia and we live in Ireland so I had never seen a poisonous spider before!!! And we found a cockroach! I didn't stay as far away, but I did not like the look of it at all!!! Watching this video I got really scared that it would jump up or break out of the container and I was very surprised when ur children picked up the container with the spider in it!! I would never do that in case it broke out of it and bit me!!! BTW what is that venom that you were talking about, and why did u give it to the hospital!!? If I found one I would scream and run and call somebody that isn't scared of them and get them to get it and throw it out the door!!!!

  12. How I'd react:

GET ME A SHOE!!! GET ME A SHOE!!

1 minute later… (in SpongeBob narrator voice)

    DIE!! DIE!! DIE!!

I'm scared of spiders. And snakes FREAK ME OUT. As much as creepy clowns ๐Ÿคก.

  13. I simply freak out if I see even a small spider… I live in Finland we don't have ….(don't know the word)…. spiders here. That's definately something I'm really happy about.

  14. oh my i thought this was gonna be a spider cake but no i just got reminded of what type of creatures live in our beautiful home, australia ;D
still love the bid tho โค๏ธ

  15. Thanks Ann, your video is amazing, I meet black widow twice and every time I just seal it in the jar until itโ€™s dead. I didnโ€™t know that I could trap that spider and give it to the hospital to save lives.

  16. I used to get pretty big spiders in my house because I live right next to a park, but then I adopted a Maine Coon mix cat. I was a bit surprised I wasn't seeing any more spiders or other creepy-crawlies until I caught my cat in action. That cat is a hunting *beast*. He can catch flies mid-flight, viciously murder spiders, wasps and scorpions without getting stung or bitten, and will be quick and persistent enough to get rid of even the tiniest roach that dares come into his territory. He sees them all as snacks that provide free entertainment. Since he came along, my house is a bug-free zone.

That said, I still wouldn't want to live in Australia, even with my cat as a bodyguard.

  17. A year ago I was on a sleepover with one of my friends and we stayed up until about 1:00am and I got up at 2:00am and my friend was asleep and I saw a big black spider on my wall and turned on the lamp and woke up my friend and we searched up what it was and turned out it was a male funnel web. I have arachnophobia so I was freaking out so we slipped past it and slept in the lounge room and in the morning it was gone so I went to my friends place for the night just in case…

  18. Just wanted to add, a funnel web peirced its fangs through a mates heavy leather work boots once, seeing that, i wouldn't trust a plastic container if it was really aggressive, when these things go to bite, they rear up to put as much power into a bite as they can, so it made me nervous to watch your fingers directly under this little killer.

  19. Scary indeed! Contrary to popular belief, Brazil actually holds the record for "deadliest" (to humans, that is). That would be the Brazilian Wandering Spider. The country is also home to the world's largest spider, the Goliath. Every creature serves their purpose in nature, but still… Eek! ๐Ÿ˜จ

  20. I started watching this with my left foot hanging to the ground. Got too creeped out and pulled it up.. Lolโ˜

  21. omg I love your videos theyre very helpful for my cooking of cakes and stuff but this is definitely not a cake video ๐Ÿ™‚

  22. That's cool you could capture it without killing it. You probably wanted a bunch of lives right there.

  23. Lucky it did not bite through the paper when you reached under to flip it over. Use stiff paper next ttime so you do not have to reach under

  24. It would have been a dead spider if he'd been in my kitchen. I know, I know, "don't kill them" but I really, really, REALLY HATE SPIDERS. I'm terrified of them. It's just a reflex to stomp on them. ๐Ÿคท

  25. Browsing through cake videos, find video on FUNNELWEB in the kitchen! LOL… you were considerably more calm than I was the night I stepped over one in bare feet going out the garage and didn't notice it until I was on the way back in!!! We live out in the sticks in SE NSW (slightly different type of Funnelwebs here, but just as dangerous). Have to admit it scored a gumboot rather quickly. It was seriously aggressive though – arching up and waving fangs at me. I'll tolerate most spiders around the place, but with two young kids in the house this one had to go.

  26. LoOK aT The SIzE oF ThAt ThING!
Bloody thing Nearly bit yoUR ArM OFF?!

In all seriousness… Wow at the experience. And Wow at the Production of this Wildlife Documentary.

  27. Aug 23 2013 you did a How To Cook That 3d gelatine video and your title picture looks like a big hairy spider, ah oh. Eweu shivers down my back bone, oh man, almost got your toe, oh no๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿ˜จand I worry about Brown Recluse Spiders here, they are number 9 of the world's most deadly, ๐Ÿ˜’like oh snap!
When I was on the farm there was this shed it was real dark and the light switch was scary to turn on, it had a lot of mice. I'd hit the wall about waist high with a fist and slide my hand to turn the light on guess what was on the top of it, a little black scorpion, more posinus than the common larger brown ones. Another time walking bare foot up and down back gully big and pg carrying a laundry basket. I heard the infamous rattle rattle rattle. I turn around and looked back, there was my bare foot print next to a baby rattler๐Ÿ˜ฑ. Good thing my stride was big and fast, and instinks come out when nessesary. In my opinion it is God having our back, toes and the whole 9yards๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘โค๏ธ
Las Vegas University, used to buy scorpions and rattlesnakes for their venom, I wonder if they still do.
I am really enjoying your videos. I was asked if I remember God keeping me safe I couldn't remember tell this. And those are times I used to remember all to well, the city girl in the country, help me and He did๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŽถ

  28. I love that even though a deadly spider crawled my her foot that she is so brave.

no way I could have been in 15ft proximity of it….XD

  29. We are so lucky in. In Norway the only venomous creature we have is 1 snake ๐Ÿ˜‚ and it a viper who is not even that lethal and of course spiders but their venom doesnt effect humans. Im staying here forever ๐Ÿ˜‚โœŒ๐Ÿป

  30. I love spiders there soo cute especially the one you got. Good job doing your research and identify the little guy instead of killing it like many people do. Misidentification in spiders especially in the USA has caused many deaths in spiders because people think there brown recluseโ€™s but itโ€™s typically a wood spider. Brown recluse live in warm and dry climates from Texas to south California not all the way up in Delaware! It takes such little research to discover what it actually is. Thanks for saving spider and human lives mam. Also spider are not aggressive and there venom often will not get you unless your a kid or a small adult. They often dry bite in defense but yah these spiders could kill you but you did it safely and effectively. The only nit pick I have is when you were picking up the spider with the paper underneath you had your hand where it was facing and if the paper had bent enough for the spider to escape it would have ran out on your hand. So donโ€™t do that and donโ€™t replicate my mistakes I learned that quickly when I tried getting a centipede out of my teachers class room. Iโ€™m fine no one got Hurt (including the centipede) my teacher just screamed and scared the heck out of me. Lol have a nice day and continue with what your doing. ๐Ÿ‘

  31. I had a Funnel Web run up my arm back when I used to work at the local zoo. I was on a 7 foot, giraffe feeding platform, trying to unbale lucerne and it happened to be hanging out in the hay. I had a 1000+ kilo, super flighty and tempermental giraffe hanging over me so I couldn't even scream (believe me, I REALLY wanted too) or I was going to have a bad time. I don't know how you guys were all so calm

  32. When you watch the Youtuber "Exotics Lair"…I'm just like…be careful with that tarantula's legs when you move it and another thing–it is not disgusting! lol

  33. So proud that as Aussies our first reaction is catch it and Google it! Really glad you were able to bring about such a altruistic life-saving thing from what is actually quite a scary situation…and all with that Aussie no-fear she'll be right can-do attitude too. You rock.
